Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Provide chairside assistance and maintain optimal infection control
- Administer anesthesia monitoring and emergency response support
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Current North Carolina dental radiography license
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or comparable dental software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- CPR/BLS certification (must maintain current)
- Exceptional communication skills and patient empathy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
