Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Manage patient records and digital dental software
- Assist with front desk duties including scheduling and billing
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
- Order and inventory dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and OSHA standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
