Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining strict OSHA compliance standards
- Take accurate dental impressions and expose/develop diagnostic radiographs
- Manage patient flow, including room turnover and inventory management
- Provide chairside assistance and educate patients on oral hygiene protocols
- Maintain digital patient records and assist with front desk duties as needed
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant License or RDA certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume practice
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
