Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Label, process, and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure phlebotomy equipment is sanitized and functional.
- Collaborate with nurses and lab technicians to ensure timely specimen delivery.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Valid Wisconsin State Phlebotomy license.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
