Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols for all equipment
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs following safety standards
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital records
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of supplies
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Coordinate with dental lab technicians on prosthetic fabrication
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- CPR certification and knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities
- Valid California driver's license for occasional travel between locations
