Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Manage sterilization and infection control protocols for equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Perform patient education on oral hygiene techniques
- Coordinate with front desk for seamless patient flow
- Maintain accurate digital dental records and documentation
Qualifications
- Dental Assisting Diploma from accredited program (or equivalent experience)
- Current DANB certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar dental software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
