Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort throughout treatments
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical cases
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital X-ray technology
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilize instruments/equipment
- Manage dental inventory and order supplies efficiently
- Document patient information and maintain electronic health records
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with front desk operations
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification or equivalent education
- Current Louisiana Dental Assistant license or eligibility
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Certification in CPR and basic life support
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
