Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Sterilize equipment and maintain treatment rooms per OSHA standards
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order dental supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital X-ray systems and dental software
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- New Jersey Dental Radiographer license preferred
- Spanish bilingual skills a plus
