Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) using advanced digital imaging
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments per OSHA guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient clinical workflow
- Delicate patient education on oral hygiene procedures and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Monitor inventory and order dental supplies to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification (CDA/RDA preferred)
- Active radiology certification and CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general dentistry practice
- Mastery of dental radiography techniques and digital imaging systems
- Proficiency in practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Exceptional chairside manner with diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in high-volume environment
