Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and equipment using OSHA protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and develop diagnostic images
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Eaglesoft software
- Provide chairside assistance and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Administer infection control procedures and sterilization protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligible
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging systems
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental sterilization standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software preferred
