Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols per OSHA standards
- Manage patient scheduling, digital records, and insurance documentation
- Capture diagnostic X-rays and intraoral images
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-care instructions
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Illinois Dental Assistant license or radiology certification
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong clinical skills in 4-handed dentistry techniques
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
