Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist: Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and treatment procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare treatment rooms, and guide patients through their dental journey with a warm smile.
- Clinical Duties: Take and develop digital X-rays, process dental impressions, and perform basic lab tasks.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and cross-infection control measures to maintain a safe environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, medical histories, and treatment records.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order dental supplies and equipment to ensure the practice is well-stocked.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Dental Assistant license in the state of Nevada required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification are mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
