Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures following OSHA guidelines
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification and radiology license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
