Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clinical hygiene standards
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Order inventory and oversee dental supply management
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Coordinate with insurance companies and billing departments
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Proficiency in digital imaging (DEXIS, Schick)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA protocols
- Excellent chairside communication skills
- X-ray certification (AZ state compliant)
- Experience with Eaglesoft/Dentrix software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy practice
