Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suctioning, and patient monitoring
- Perform chairside duties such as mixing dental materials and taking impressions
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory management
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate with front desk staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
- Strong knowledge of sterilization protocols (OSHA compliance)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Digital dentistry software experience (Epic, Dentrix, etc.)
