Responsibilities
- Assist chairside with dental procedures, ensuring the dentist has all necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts, collecting co-pays, and verifying insurance.
- Provide excellent patient education regarding oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
- Monitor patient comfort and anxiety levels throughout appointments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment.
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB Certified Assistant certification is highly preferred.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
