Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient flow, including charting and digital record maintenance
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Provide post-operative instructions and chairside support
- Order inventory and maintain a sterile, organized operatory
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years of chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or DentalWorks software
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
