Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and orthodontics
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Implement HIPAA-compliant patient record management
- Perform chairside assistance with expanded functions (sealants, coronal polishing)
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant Diploma or equivalent certification
- Current California Dental Board Radiography permit
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Mastery of digital imaging (Dexis, Carestream)
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional chairside demeanor for anxious patients
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft practice management software
