Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety and infection control protocols.
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienists during examinations and treatments, ensuring efficient chair-side assistance.
- Perform and document dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and accuracy.
- Manage patient intake processes, including updating medical histories and collecting insurance information.
- Provide post-operative care instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and treatment charts.
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as taking impressions and creating temporary crowns.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program is required.
- Current state certification (RDA) or license to practice in Nebraska.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a dental setting is preferred, though we are open to immediate hires for highly motivated candidates.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- A friendly, professional demeanor and a strong attention to detail.
