Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas
- Take dental X-rays and develop radiographs
- Manage patient records using digital dental software
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Coordinate appointments and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Ensure strict infection control protocols are followed
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA certification required
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with dental imaging software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid North Carolina dental radiography license
