Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suction management, and patient comfort support
- Execute infection control protocols: sterilization, equipment prep, and OSHA compliance
- Manage digital radiography and imaging systems with precision and efficiency
- Oversee patient flow: scheduling, recall systems, and seamless clinical coordination
- Maintain accurate dental charts and electronic health records (EHR)
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene procedures
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Dental Assistant certification (DALEF or DANB preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography (X-ray) and infection control protocols
- Strong knowledge of dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar)
- CPR/BLS certification with current expiration date
- Exceptional communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
