Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations and assist the dentist during procedures with precision and care.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update dental charts, and handle insurance verification efficiently.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Chair-Side Assistance: Pass instruments, manage suction, and apply rubber dams or take X-rays as needed.
- Oral Health Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Radiography and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Licensure: Valid Dental Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
