Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment using OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient charts and digital record systems accurately
- Provide chairside support and comfort measures to anxious patients
- Order inventory and maintain optimal supply levels
- Deliver post-op instructions and follow-up care coordination
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB/CDA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training current
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Kentucky state dental radiography license preferred
