Responsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Ensure the accurate labeling, processing, and shipping of specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and sterile phlebotomy environment to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and explain procedures clearly.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely test results.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to participate in our paid training program and obtain certification (CPT or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift equipment as needed.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health records (EHR) systems.
