Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure proper patient identification, verification, and specimen labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort.
- Process and transport specimens to the laboratory promptly and securely.
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients or equipment as required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
