Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during complex dental procedures including implant placement and orthodontic adjustments
- Digital radiography and intraoral imaging proficiency using advanced imaging systems
- Sterilization protocol management and OSHA compliance oversight
- Patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques
- Dental charting using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Inventory management for clinical supplies and ordering of dental materials
- Coordination of treatment plans with dental hygienists and lab technicians
- Emergency response support during dental procedures
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general or cosmetic dentistry
- Advanced knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Proficiency with digital radiography and imaging software
- CPR/BLS certification with current status
- Exceptional chairside communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced clinical environment
- DEXIS and Eaglesoft software experience preferred
