Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support and instrument management
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Perform sterilization and disinfection protocols following OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient records and schedule using dental software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene procedures
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques
- Strong knowledge of sterilization protocols and infection control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with dental practice management software
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
