Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Perform chairside assistance with proper infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft and digital imaging systems
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Coordinate lab cases and manage inventory of dental supplies
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in radiography and infection control procedures
- Experience with digital imaging systems and Eaglesoft software
- CPR/BLS certification (must be current)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
