Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and clinical areas for dental procedures including sterilization and equipment setup
- Assist dentists during exams, restorations, and surgical procedures with four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop digital dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photos
- Manage patient records using our advanced dental software system
- Implement infection control protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain clinical supply organization
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a general dentistry setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques and safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills with ability to comfort anxious patients
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
