Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontics
- Perform dental radiography and develop high-quality X-rays
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for optimal efficiency
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models
- Administer patient education on oral hygiene techniques
- Manage digital patient records and scheduling systems
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (Nevada Board required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Exceptional chairside communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Valid Nevada state radiography permit
