Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative, orthodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Administer infection control protocols throughout the facility
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
- Active California Dental Assistant certification (RDA or EFDA preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general dentistry setting
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (Dentrix/Cerec)
- CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
