Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including chairside support and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure optimal clinic organization
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and insurance verification
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and digital imaging systems
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- CPR certification and BLS certification required
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Nevada dental radiography permit
