Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate digital charting and practice management software
- Supervise dental assistants and train new staff members
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or Louisiana state license)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS, Sirona)
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Strong communication skills for patient education
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- CPR certification maintained
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software preferred
