Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring proper instrument transfer and maintaining the sterile field.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and educate them on post-operative care instructions.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (Panoramic and Periapical) adhering to safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels of dental materials and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
- Sterilization: Strictly follow infection control protocols and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms.
- Record Keeping: Update patient charts accurately and maintain electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of California required.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and RPHIT (Radiation Health and Safety Technology) certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask and maintain high standards of hygiene and accuracy.
