Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operative procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Ensure a sterile field is maintained throughout the surgery.
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs during surgery.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room.
- Apply dressings to incision sites post-surgery.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior experience required—we train the right candidates!
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy in high-pressure situations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification: CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program completion preferred but not mandatory.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
