Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and physical, psychological, and social conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans and maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the clinical setting.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida or a compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience (Med-Surg, ICU, or ER preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced, interdisciplinary team environment.
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to different unit rotations as needed.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
