Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor patient vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient charts and shift notes in compliance with legal standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital infection control policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- License: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York (or compact state eligibility).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We welcome new graduates and provide extensive on-the-job training.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
