Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist dentists during treatments including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols per OSHA standards
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with front desk duties when needed
- Provide post-procedure instructions and support patient education
- Order dental supplies and maintain organized inventory systems
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience with digital dental imaging software (Dentrix preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
