Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with chairside assistance.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and update patient records accurately.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent certification.
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a dental setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
