Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Perform digital X-rays and intraoral imaging with advanced imaging systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures exceeding OSHA standards
- Oversee patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain digital patient records
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for seamless workflow
- Assist in inventory management of dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification from CODA-accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona) and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification with current renewal date
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
