Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs using digital X-ray technology
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of all dental instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Coordinate patient flow and scheduling to ensure seamless clinical operations
- Document clinical notes and maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
Qualifications
- Current California Dental Assistant (RDA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited institution
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently
- Knowledge of OSHA and dental board regulations
- Associate degree or certificate from accredited dental assisting program
