Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during dental procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA protocols
- Manage digital radiography and intraoral imaging systems
- Assist with patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
- Coordinate treatment planning and lab case management
- Ensure optimal inventory management of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and Eaglesoft software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- North Carolina dental radiography permit (or willingness to obtain)
