Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry, instrument transfer, and suction management
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize instruments/equipment per OSHA standards
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Eaglesoft software
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient clinical workflow
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or radiology license (Indiana required)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent chairside manner with strong interpersonal skills
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to continuing education in dental advancements
