Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument handling and suction management
- Take accurate dental radiographs and perform preliminary patient assessments
- Manage patient flow and schedule coordination while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Implement infection control protocols and maintain sterile field standards
- Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices
- Manage digital charting and practice management software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
Qualifications
- Active RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license in California
- Certificate in Dental Radiography and Coronal Polishing
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital imaging and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
