Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to strict sterilization protocols.
- Take and develop intraoral and extraoral X-rays (Radiation Health and Safety certification required).
- Manage patient records, update health histories, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-op care.
- Perform impression taking and pour models for restorative and orthodontic treatments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license (or enrollment in an accredited program).
- Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) certification and CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dexis) is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients/maintain proper ergonomics.
