Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in designated clinical units (ICU, ER, Telemetry, etc.)
- Administer medications, treatments, and wound care per physician protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
- Assess patient needs and implement emergency interventions when required
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and facility-specific standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- 2+ years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred
- Graduated from accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare systems
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
