Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist: Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and procedures.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort during visits.
- Radiography: Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (Panoramic, Periapical) and ensure proper safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization standards and adhere to OSHA regulations.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for each patient.
- Administrative: Manage patient records, update charts, and handle insurance paperwork accurately.
- Education: Provide post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education to patients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification or RDA license in the State of Texas.
- X-Ray License: Valid certification to perform dental radiography.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Dentrix or Eaglesoft practice management software is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays if required.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
