Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation & Care: Prepare treatment rooms with instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment for every patient.
- Assisting the Dentist: Utilize 4-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during exams, cleanings, and complex procedures.
- Digital Radiography: Perform intraoral and extraoral X-rays, including Panoramic and Periapical films, ensuring high diagnostic quality.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization, disinfection, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Record Management: Update and maintain accurate patient charts, treatment plans, and medical histories in our digital software.
- Front Desk Support: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling efficiently.
- Education: Provide post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education to patients to ensure long-term health.
Qualifications
- Certification: Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program and current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB certification is required.
- Licensure: Valid Dental Assistant license in the state of California.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and digital imaging technology.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
