Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization processes
- Update patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Coordinate with front desk on patient flow and scheduling
Qualifications
- Dental Assistant Diploma or Certificate (CODA accredited preferred)
- Active Indiana Dental Assistant Radiology certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Flexible availability including evenings and occasional Saturdays
- Proficiency with dental imaging software and digital X-rays
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with pediatric or orthodontic dentistry a plus
