Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Provide chairside support and ensure patient comfort throughout treatments
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide under supervision
- Train new dental assistants on office protocols and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Dental Assistant Radiology License required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency with digital imaging and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage anxious patients
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Associates degree in Dental Assisting or equivalent certification
